4tablespoonsteriyaki glazebottled or homemade (do not use marinade)
1/4teaspoonsesame seedsoptional
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer at 400°F and set timer for 20 minutes.
Place chicken in the fryer basket or tray and cook for 5 minutes.
Flip chicken over. Air fry for another 5 minutes.
Brush on half of the teriyaki glaze. Continue air frying for 5 minutes.
Flip chicken over again and glaze with the remaining glaze. Air fry for 3 minutes.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired. Air fry for 2 minutes.
Place thighs on a cutting board and slice into bite-sized pieces.
Notes
The longer you marinate the chicken the more flavorful it will be. However, you can also throw this together, skip marinating and still enoy it (I've been there!)To cook faster, cut the chicken into bite-sized chunks.Adding the teriyaki sauce too early can cause the sugars to darken too quickly in the air fryer. That's why it's added halfway through. You could glaze it one more time right before serving too.Nutritional data will vary depending on teriyaki glaze used. I make this recipe.
